Arashi Fan Meet-Up at USC? (updated)

Okay, so some of you know that Matsumoto is coming to Los Angeles (specifically, University of Southern California, USC), for the special screening of his latest film, The Final Princess. And although we aren't sure if non-students are allowed to come, some of us have made reservations.

[EDIT]: So, Kytana received an e-mail saying non-students can attend, but according to Allison (see comment below), they have added a "Reservation Code", which I was not aware of, and I guess you need that code to go now? I'm assuming all who have registered previously are okay, but for those who haven't and now want to, you need it? >.<; Any one who might know the code, are you allowed to share it? I'm guessing there are other fans who want to go too, but haven't registered yet.

Since we have such a wonderful and large Arashi fandom community on VOX, I was wondering if those attending would be at all interested in a a meet-up? Let me just say right now it is totally voluntary. You have the right & choice not to participate at all in the meet up.

It could be before or during the event.

Seeing as how we only know each other mostly be screen name, I was thinking we could have some sort of special sign or wear something to signal those who are friends from VOX. Mind you, this is only if you want to meet up, and you don't have to give away your online identity, for privacy purposes.

My ideas:

-All wearing special pink bracelets? (something you can print out and then cut out, and tape around your wrist)
-Holding up a sign? (like "Arashi Vox Family" or something along those lines)
-The whole, carry a "Rose" thing? (haha, that' what they do on blind dates, lol, but this is not a blind date, just a friendly get-together).
-Ideas or suggestions?

I also want to ask if we are allowed to bring presents or flowers to the event people (the director, Jun, and the special guest, who was C3-PO from Star Wars).

Maybe we can pitch in a buy a big bouquet from all of us, or each person can bring their own gifts.

Ideas? Do you like the idea? Any one interested in it?

I love the ideas. I'm still waiting for a response from them so I can update everyone about the reservations. ^^

I wonder if someone would like to pick me up at the airport and show me around a bit cause I'm not very familiar w/ LA. xD I'll pay for gas. hehehe

Well, I don't know if I can because I'm entirely dependent on my brother, who's taking me, and I don't think he will be willing to drive to LAX, haha But maybe someone would be glad to! ^_^ Worse to worse, there are all those cabs that rove around the airports. :)

Ah... well, next plan is to rent a car. xD I'll figure it out.

According to someone I know from USC, it IS open to non-students. If you've already contacted them you might want to wait until they officially tell you but just if it helps for planning, that's what I've heard. ^^

I would love to do a meet up of sorts if time allows. From my experience in Vegas, we didn't need any kind of sign to recognize each other; young(ish) girls stand out a lot in situations like that. Even if we can't tell if someone's specifically from Vox, we could tell they would be there for Jun, so we're all comrades. xP

I really like the bouquet idea, but I'm hesitant to spend money on something like that if we're not sure if they can accept gifts. (Gifts weren't allowed in Vegas, but Jun sneakily accepted a few small ones, anyway. I don't know if he can 'sneakily' accept a bouquet. xD) Maybe someone could e-mail USC about it?

Arrg, I shouldn't be making all these plans when I'm still not sure if I'll get a ticket. I'm getting my hopes up. D= Anyway, please keep us updated~ <3

yea i heard that it's going to be open to the public so i'm definitely gonna try my best to go!

Hum... good point. Well, I guess then it won't be *too* much of a problem, ne? And also there are other fans besides those on Vox, I realize.

I'll e-mail the USC people and ask them about the gifts.
(hehe, omg, how jun-like, accepting gifts sneakily! XP lol).

Will definately keep a head's up on this. As for tickets, u just need to register. It's free except for the parking permit. :)

as for the bouquet, I think I will e-mail them asking if we can... but they seem to be slow getting back to you... I think Kytana is still waiting on her e-mail if non-students can attend (but tokyo707 commented that according to her USC friend, they can).

lol, it's ok. My brother's taking me, and only because my dad won't let me drive to Los Angeles by myself. I need a "guy" there. *eyes-roll* Oh well.

This is a good idea! Me and my sister are scrambling to go. We already made our reservations.

I spent a long time yesterday trying to make a reservation for this event, but it wouldn't let me because I didn't have the reservation code. Did you guys who made reservations figure out what the code is? Or is there a way to make a reservation without it? If you know the code, it would be amazing if you could let me know what it is or how to find it!

Really? O_O Okay, I just checked: yeah, what the heck is up with that? It wasn't there before! Maybe try e-mailing the administration they have there (they take a while to reply back, but at least they might be able to tell you)?

My guess, but that was probably in response to the massive amount of fans who want to watch this and see Jun .... (>_<). I don't know, I wish I could help some how, but I'm so sorry!

I'm definitely going, and I agree that I think somehow we fans will recognize each other, but it might be nice to have some kind of ID bracelet or something, and like we could write our usernames on it...? I don't know, maybe :] I definitely want to meet up. Maybe the best place would be lining up in front of the cinema school, because everybody is going there anyway. I don't know how early you're going, but I want to get there in the morning, just in case.

As for presents...I think I'm just going to make Jun something small. A bouquet would be very nice, but I think we might have trouble getting it to him, whereas with letters and little things, he would probably have an easier time taking them.

(sorry it took so long to reply). Well, I was orignially not going to go early, but I think I might show up a bit early... I mean, if they SOLD OUT for an event that was free... O_O that must mean there are going to be a lot of (Arashi) fans there, lol. So maybe I'll com there early, but not morning I think. =/

Cool! Okay, I'll take that into consideration... Oh wow, morning? O_O well, I guess, now that I'm hearing about how the whole thing is sold out (except to USC students now), I might want to show up there early, but I don't think I'll be there from morning (unless it's really that necessary? lol).

As for the bouquets and presents, that's a good idea - letters and small trinkets might pass. I e-mailed the people and asked about gifts, but they still haven't replied back - I even sent them 2 e-mails of it. =( We'll see... I still want to get gifts... I guess I'll figure it out when it gets closer to the event. :)
